1.One or all duly endorsed Original Bill(s) of Ladings. or

3.Container guarantee or a cash deposit for the safe return of the empty equipment. A guarantee valid for a year is acceptable from our regular clients subject to approval. Sample available on request

1.Letter of Indemnity to keep the carrier free of any liabilities if containers need to be unpacked in CFS receiver’s request.

2.Personal identification to prove the ownership of the cargo/contents.

3.All CFS charges to be paid in advance.

4.Container with personal goods will be released only against a cash deposit of KD.300/20FT or 500/40FT, refundable upon safe return of the empty unit(s) to carrier’s depot.

1.Receiver is permitted to return all empty containers, except reefer units, within the allowed normal free days of Eight (8) calendar days from its discharge. Reefer units gets only Four (4) calendar days from its discharge till empty receipt. A container detention will be charged as per carrier’s tariff for the late receipt of the empty unit. Detention tariff available upon request. Any special rate agreement for additional free days will be honored. Details can be enquired from our office on tel. 22072145.

2.Port/terminals allow the receiver free storage as follows from its discharge:

  • All dry containers: 10 days
  • Dangerous Goods: 4 days
  • Reefer containers: No free days as storage is applicable from its discharge.
  • Certain DG class cargo are to be direct delivery from the vessel and no storge inside the port is permitted.
  • Delayed deliveries of full containers will be subject to storage as per the port tariff.
  • In case of break bulk shipments receiver must be ready to take direct delivery from the vessel as not storage area in the ports.

1.Following documents are required to do the custom formalities:

  • Carrier’s delivery order
  • Packing list
  • Invoice (duly legalized)
  • Certificate of origin (duly legalized)
  • Other credentials as required by the customs.
  1. Obtain Custom clearance (Bayan)
  2. Collect the shipment from Terminal/port against Custom Bayan, container release from the carrier etc.
  3. Transport the shipments to the receiver’s premises after custom inspection and return the empty units back to carrier’s depot.

Contact carrier agents immediately preferably before unpacking the container enabling carrier to conduct a survey or investigation. Any claim will be settled as per the findings of the carrier and reports submitted.

1)Notice of reservation.

2)Survey report

3)Claim invoice.

4)Copies of the commercial invoice, packing list and Bill of lading.

5)Letter of subrogation (if any)

6)Any other documents as required at the time of submitting your claim.

Any notice for the claim will be invalid if submitted after a year of its arrival

You may transport the container to your warehouse or depot, unload your cargo and return the empty container back to carrier’s depot clean, without any residue. Any labels affixed at the time of shipment must be removed upon empty return. Any damages caused by receiver will be claimed from the party concerned as per the finds of the carrier. Container detention will be payable if free time exceeded at the time of empty receipt.
